- Safe Passage Family Resource Center – offers certified safety check and training about proper use of car seats, weekly play group for toddlers, help for local children with unmet needs, enrollment assistance for no or low-cost health insurance, parenting classes in English and Spanish, and various community support groups
- Second Story Studios – dance studios featuring instruction in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, african, swing, lindy hop, tango, and music for youth
- Skunk Train – scenic, historic passenger railway through redwood forests and mountain meadows between Fort Bragg and Willits, in northern California
- Symphony of the Redwoods – community orchestra that provides live classical music year-round
- West Business Development Center – offers no-cost personalized business consulting to start up entrepreneurs and business owners in Mendocino County

- Community Center of Mendocino – offers year-round activities for adults and kids including after-school care for school-age children during the school year and day camps during the summer as well as senior yoga, silks classes, arts and crafts fairs, pétanque terrain, dog park, and ball park (Friendship Park)
- Gallery Bookshop & Bookwinkle’s Children’s Books – independent bookstore with a great selection of books, cards, notebooks, and pens as well as an amazing ocean view
- Mendocino Art Center – artistic and educational institution offering over 200 retreat-style workshops each year in ceramics, fiber arts, fine art, jewelry, and sculpture
- Mendocino Coast Chamber of Commerce – good source for area information, maps, visitor and relocation information, vacation lodging referrals, local business information, attractions, and things to do
- Mendocino Coast Sea Dragons – youth swim team, registered with USA Swimming

Ukiah
- First 5 Mendocino – works to improve the lives of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families throughout Mendocino County by distributing tax dollars through partnerships, grants, and projects that fulfill its current strategic plan to “decrease substance abuse and improve parenting among families with young children”
- North Coast Opportunities (NCO): Rural Communities Child Care (RCCC) – offers a subsidized childcare program for low-income families and continuing education for childcare providers
